Just got a cheap used Macbook Air (11", mid-2011, for $430) off of my local Craigslist for my first real Craigslist experience, and... wow. Felt like what Craigslist should feel like.
The guy didn't mention the charger was literally held together with duct tape in four (FOUR) different spots, or that the Y key has a P keycap and the 4 key has a 0 keycap. He also tried to wash the screen... which left it horribly streaked. I'm just surprised that the body is in really good shape, and he did know enough to wipe and reset OS X, so that's not too bad.
And he did show some mercy while I was leaving - he stopped me and handed me $20 of what I had just paid him, because of the condition of the charger (which he handed to me after I handed over the cash, because he forgot). That won't help with the battery replacement that'll be necessary in the next two months though. But for the price... can't really beat it.
On the plus side, I have a tiny little daily driver of a laptop to complement my beefy 15" Pro (non-Retina). Thinking I may set up a Bittorent Sync server on my Raspberry Pi to stitch the two together.
Plus, I'm looking for some nice automotive stickers to lighten it up. I've tried to keep my big Mac clean and professional, but this one should just be for fun. Does anyone know where some would be/have some?

Yeah! I guess I missed out on the full experience.
The guy had a nice new black Lincoln MKX, and we met at a church when his wife was doing landscaping there, so maybe that wouldn't have happened. But I brought a friend (who was bigger then me) just in case!

And for the low, low price of $2000!
And it's functioning perfectly so far, Steptronic, Active Comfort Seat, and automatic AC. It's almost perfect, if I can ignore the couple of scratches and dents.... weird. Scary. Erie.

Schtickers - a website dedicated to making laptop skins for the lid or even the palmrests and side bits of the laptop. I had a really nice one years ago for my asus that had a piano black lid but nothing in terms of badging or ornamentation. They managed to nail this design quite well.
